Mike was nervous during the gig. He saw Bronwyn, as promised. dressed in a lime green mini dress. Her long blonde hair was hanging loose down her back, amd Mike thought she was very pretty.
There was just one problem, he realised. It didn't look like she was that into him. He had tried to make eye contact with her from the stage several times during the evening, but she just looked away each time.
Maybe she's shy, he thought. But she sent me the letter, so she technically made the first move, so she can't be that shy.
He decided he would go and talk to her after the gig was over, as she had asked him to in her letter.
He took a deep breath, and walked over to her. "You must be Bronwyn?" he said, shyly.
She blinked at him "I am" she looked him up and down, as if she didn't know him.
"I'm Mike. I got the letter you asked your friend to pass on to me".
"oh" came the reply. She looked dissapointed, Mike thought. "You're Mike?"
He nodded, not saying a word.
Bronwyn shook her head, in disbelief. "I can't believe that when I get the courage to do something like this, and actually talk to a guy i really like, i end up talking to the wrong one" she said, sadly. "I'm not good at remembering names, and the only name I could remember was Mike".
"That's me". He had an idea that, hopefully, would make her feel better. He didn't like to see her look upset. "Who did you actually want to send the letter to?".
Bronwyn looked all shy. She pointed over to the stage, where the rest of the guys were packing up the instruments, and she pointed to the band member who was busy throwing the drumsticks in the air, and attempting to catch them before they landed on to the floor.
Mike grinned at her. "That's Micky". he told her, gently.
"Micky. That's the name i was trying to remember". She replied. She looked at mike, hopefully, and then asked, "do you think you could introduce me to him?".
Mike nodded again, happy he could help her. "sure" he told her. "Lets go introduce you to our Mr. Dolenz".
